One of the finest artists Prashant Tamang was conceived in Tungsung, Darjeeling, West Bengal (India) to Rupa Tamang and the late Madan Tamang. After the downfall of his dad, Madan Tamang, in a mishap, he joined the Kolkata Police Force as a guard Habildaar , succeeding his dad. In Kolkata Police, he sang for the police symphony. His family incorporates his grandma, mother and his sister, Archana. He is an Indian artist and film performer. 

He was the victor of Indian Idol Season 3 in 2007. He is generally perceived as an Indian Idol and victor of season 3 of the opposition from india. Prashant's administrations as a Kolkata Police. Prashant Tamang has turned into a VIP in West Bengal, Sikkim and Nepal. He was upheld for the most part by Indian Police, individuals of Sikkim and Many outsiders (uniquely from Nepal) for his win on Indian Idol.
